Stomp


Stomp is a wonderful array of percussion and rhythmically talented people. A Stomp group
usually consists of approximately 15 people. At a Stomp concert, you might see a matchbox
symphony, a pot and pan orchestra, or maybe even a broomstick band. Whatever it is you
desire in percussion, Stomp probably has it.


Stomp comes right out of New York and has been touring the country for about 12 years.
Anytime they have a concert, the auditorium is packed full of people all wanting to hear
the splendor of Stomp's talented musicians. And talented they are in deed, these young men
and women must be strong and healthy do keep up a concert for 2½ hours. To insure this,
Stomp interviews young people who would one day like to be in Stomp. Generally, anyone can
be in Stomp that meets these requirements.


At the concert I went to, the Stomp performers showed much talent and really impressed me.
I was impressed because they it really had some symbolism in it that I didn't think I
would notice. I realized that they were reaching out to people saying that they can do
