Social Work

Social Workers in the United States have many roles and needs to fill in society. They are seen as the people that nurse the homeless, unemployed, hunger-stricken, and destitute back to life. It is their choice to help those more unfortunate than themselves, and although it is considered a "job", it is really a way of life. Social Workers are not simply the people that place troubled individuals in places that can offer them help, but they are the people that provide this help. These people are out there working with others to make this world, nation, state, city, and even block a better place to live and raise families. They take the problems that afflict us and those around us, and find feasible solutions to make us into contributing members of society. They take the broken pieces of our society and glue them into a harmonious whole . . . or at least try to.
